Swimmer's Log Book

All swimmers in Novice/Junior and Senior Squads need to keep a log book of their official swimming times for each of the different swimming strokes and distances together with the date and venue.  This information will be needed if a swimmer is intending to enter any Open Meets or Club/County Championships.  It is also a good way of tracking an individuals’ progress and achievements.  Official times will also be displayed on the Club notice board and on the website following organised Club competitions.

A typical page in a log book is shown below.  It is recommended that a fresh page be used for each distance and each stroke or individual medley (IM).

Only official times should be entered in the log book.  An asterisk* against a time indicates that it is a personal best (PB) according to the Club Times Co-ordinator.  At Open Meets and County Championships, you will need to obtain a print out of the official time.
