Membership and Fees
All swimmers are either affiliated (Novices or Water Babies) or full (Junior and Senior Squads) members of the Witney & District Swimming Club.
The Annual Membership Subscription falls on or before the end of October in each year. The subscription is proposed by the Organising Committee and is ratified at the Club’s Annual General Meeting, which normally takes place in September each year. The cost of membership includes a per capita levy payable to the Amateur Swimming Association, for registration with the ASA. Except for Water Babies, where fees are paid weekly, membership fees are paid annually or can be paid instalments by arrangement with the Membership Secretary. There are no sibling discounts.
Parents, guardians and helpers wishing to work with swimmers for example on poolside or during a gala, must be Associate Club Members and pay the appropriate ASA fee. This will help provide a safe and stable environment for all swimmers knowing that all candidates have successfully passed the ASA checks and would be insured whilst carrying out their duties.
Swimmers who are taking regular medication (inhalers, insulin, etc) need to complete an ASA Medication Form which can be downloaded below. This must be renewed annually or when medication is changed.
Download your ASA Medication Form now or contact the Welfare Officer. ASA and Club Membership Application
After an assessment and subsequent acceptance from the Head Coach into the Witney & District Swimming Club, the swimmer will be asked to complete an ASA registration form for insurance purposes and a club membership application form. These must be completed fully and returned with all detailed information to the membership officer. However, if you require assistance please contact the membership secretary.
Return the form and payment in an envelope directly to your membership secretary.
Membership packs can in the first instance only be obtained via the membership secretary.
Resignation from the Club
In the event of a member leaving the Club, written notice of resignation of no less than 6 full calendar months must be given in writing to the Head Coach.
